2 hours ago - tboblogs.com
TAMPA We told you a week ago that the Rams were considering talking to Raheem Morris about their vacant head coachs position. Well, it appears they have indeed decided to talk to Morris. Adam Schefter of the NFL Network is reporting that Morris is now among the candidates the Rams are scheduling interviews with. This is a bit of a turn of events, as sources inside the Rams were saying just two days ago that Morris was not among the candidates they planned to talk to. Morris, who spent Monday interviewing for the Denver Broncos head coachs job, is on his way back to Tampa and may land here only to learn that hes been asked to catch a flight to St. Send Us Your Comments * Comments Must Include Full Name And Location Please enter the word you see in the image above: Remember my personal information Notify me of follow-up comments. Former Giants coach Fassel will interview this week
13 hours ago - bnd.com
LOUIS -- The St. Louis Rams will interview former New York Giants coach Jim Fassel on Thursday, ESPN reported on Monday. Rams General Manager Billy Devaney could interview as many as five candidates this week as he continues his search for a head coach. Devaney reportedly has gotten permission to speak with Miami secondary coach Todd Bowles, Baltimore defensive coordinator Rex Ryan, Minnesota defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier and Dallas wide receivers coach Ray Sherman. Bowles and Frazier are available for interviews after their respective teams suffered playoff losses this past weekend, but getting an interview scheduled with Ryan could be more difficult as the Ravens are still alive in the playoffs. Both Bowles, 45, and Frazier, 49, are former NFL players. Bowles played defensive back for eight seasons in the NFL, winning a Super Bowl XXII championship with the Washington Redskins in the 1987 season.

Sherman is wide receivers coach for the Cowboys; Bowles is assistant head coach-secondary coach of the Dolphins; Frazier is assistant head coach-defensive coordinator of the Vikings. The Ravens travel to Tennessee this Saturday. The Rams' only interview to date Green Bay assistant head coach-linebackers coach Winston Moss took place Saturday.

Owner says money not a factor in Rams' coaching search
4 days ago - stltoday.com
Rams owner Chip Rosenbloom denies strongly that general manager Billy Devaney is under any financial restrictions in the search for a new head coach. "There have been no constraints put on Billy in terms of spending on coaches," Rosenbloom told the Post-Dispatch. "We may be one of the few teams in the league that has not said money is a factor in the decision. Although I do think that some salaries are out of whack, if Billy thinks the best guy will cost $6 million a year that would be who we hire." Rosenbloom said that neither the ongoing process of paying estate taxes following the death of his mother, Georgia Frontiere, nor the possible future sale of the team has any effect on how much money the Rams spend for a coach, or for anything. But were not in a position where we have to sell the team. Were in a position where were trying to make the team as good as possible. "So its not accurate to say were cheap or were trying to save money because we want to sell the team.
